Korail Passes are valid for an unlimited number of seat assignments. However, if you specify a seat in the same time slot, you can’t duplicate it, so you’ll get a seat on the train you want after you return.

Yes, you can. However, you’ll have to pay an additional 50% of the special room rate.

An Economy cabin consists of the fare plus a surcharge of 15-40% of the fare.

♦ Example) For Seoul – Busan reserved seats

Seoul – Busan Fare : KRW 59,800

Seoul – Busan Special Room Fare : KRW 23,700 (40% discount of KRW 59,800)

Therefore, if you reserve a seat in a special cabin from Seoul to Busan with Korail Pass, you will have to pay 11,800 won, which is 50% of the 23,700 won.

Yes. Infants under 6 years of age do not receive a fare when traveling with a guardian 13 years of age or older without a designated seat for each child. However, child fares are charged for more than one infant per caregiver and for infants who want a reserved seat.

The child fare is 50% off the adult fare.

Among the Korail Pass types, the Saver is a set deal for 2-5 people traveling as a team. So if you have children in your group, the pass price doesn’t change. This means they are counted as adults.

Korail Passes are meant to be used until the end date listed on the pass, after which they are free of charge. However, if the date passes while you’re on the train, we’ll recognize it as valid.

Example) If you have a Korail Pass consecutive 5-day pass (1/1-1/5) and are traveling on the #73 train that departs Seoul Station at 22:28 and arrives at Busan Station at 01:03 the next day

♦ When boarding at Seoul Station : Pass available

You board at Seoul Station on January 5, when the pass is valid, so even if you arrive at Busan Station at 01:03 on January 6, the pass will still work.

Riding in the East Zone: Pass not available

Although it is the same train, KTX 73 departs from Dongdaegu Station at 00:15 on January 6th. Therefore, the pass has expired and cannot be used. If you board with a Korail Pass, it will be a fraudulent ride and you will have to pay a penalty.

No, it doesn’t. Seating passes issued on the website can only be canceled on the website.

No, it doesn’t. A Koaril Pass is a write-in ticket with your name on the pass and can only be used by you.

If you let someone else use the pass, the pass can be taken back and you’ll have to pay a 10x surcharge for the fraudulent ride.

If the Korail Pass was issued before the start date, it will be reissued only if the purchaser and issuance history are verified. However, we won’t refund your purchase if it’s lost or stolen after the start date.

No, it doesn’t. Korail Pass does not refund delay compensation as defined by the Consumer Dispute Resolution Standards even if your train is delayed.

You can get a seat reservation and ticket on the official website or at the train station ticket window starting one month before the train departure.

Generally, all high-speed trains provide power outlets at each seat. However, on limited express trains, it is available in all seats on new trains such as the ITX-Mind, and in some seats on the ITX-Saemaeul and Mugunghwa Lake trains.

If you want to use a power outlet on a partially-provided train, please request one when you purchase your ticket.

Standing tickets cannot be purchased on your smartphone or website, but can only be purchased at the train station ticket window.

Yes. Most train stations have wheelchairs available.
To use a wheelchair, you must arrive at the station at least 10 minutes in advance and request one from a staff member.
