■ What is KORAIL PASS?

The KORAIL Pass provided by KORAIL, a public corporation, is a rail pass for foreigners visiting Korea. Pass holders can use almost all trains operated by KORAIL at set times. You can explore and discover Korea by rail.

How about this? Wouldn’t this be the best economical option and escape experience?

There are some restrictions on its use. For example, KORAIL Pass cannot be used for travel on SRT, subway and temporary tourist trains. Before purchasing KORAIL PASS, carefully check the following to make sure you meet the eligibility requirements.

 

■ Qualifications for purchasing KORAIL Pass

If you do not have the required qualifications for the KORAIL PASS, you cannot purchase or submit an exchange order to receive a PASS.

● Even if you have an exchange voucher, you cannot receive an exchange voucher by submitting the voucher if you are not eligible to use the KORAIL PASS. Before purchasing an Exchange Order, please thoroughly check the eligibility for redemption.

● If you are not qualified to use the service due to insufficient documents (including incomplete or inaccurate information from the travel agency where you purchased the voucher), or if you cannot receive the pass due to failure to submit the voucher, KORAIL will notify you during your stay in Korea. We are not responsible for any transportation costs incurred. Make sure you have all the necessary verification documents before you leave your home country.

● If you cannot receive the PASS, you can return it to the overseas travel agency where you purchased the voucher for a refund. Refunds will be issued within one year from the date of issue of the exchange order. (*Fees apply.)

● If you have any questions about the exchange, please contact the travel agency where you purchased it.

● Exchange order can be returned within 1 year from the date of issue. (*Fees apply.)

The KORAIL Pass is a special fare ticket provided only to travelers visiting Korea from abroad for tourism and business trips. To purchase a KORAIL Pass, one of the following two conditions must be met.

 

• Consecutive ticket: Can be used for 3 or 5 consecutive days from the start date

• Option: Select 2 or 4 days within 10 days from the start date to use

• Saver: Group pass for 2-5 passengers on the same date, time and itinerary

• Adult: 28 years old or older

• Youth: 13 years old or older, 27 years old or younger

• Children: 6 years old to 12 years old

• Infant: under 6 years old
• Infants can ride for free when accompanied by a guardian (age 13 or older) (one infant per adult is allowed)

 

■ How to purchase KORAIL Pass
