■ What is a Korail Pass?

The Korail Pass is a free travel pass offered by Korail for foreigners visiting Korea. As a pass holder, you can travel on almost any train operated by Korail, allowing you to explore and experience the entire country.

There are some limitations when using a Korail Pass. For example, the Korail Pass is not valid for SRT, urban rail, or sightseeing trains.

Eligibility to purchase a Korail Pass

Korail Passes are only available to foreign travelers visiting South Korea. Vouchers that can be exchanged for Korail Passes are also eligible for purchase. This means that even if you have a voucher, you can’t exchange it for a Korail Pass if you’re not eligible for a Korail Pass.

If the voucher cannot be exchanged for a Korail Pass, you can get a refund from the travel agency where you purchased the voucher. Refunds are issued within one year of the date the voucher was issued. Vouchers can be returned within one year of the date of issue.

• Saver: Group pass for 2-5 passengers on the same date, time and itinerary

• Adult: 28 years old or older

• Youth: 13 years old or older, 27 years old or younger

• Children: 6 years old to 12 years old

• Infant: under 6 years old

• Infants can ride for free when accompanied by a guardian (age 13 or older) (one infant per adult is allowed)

How to purchase a Korail Pass
There are two ways to purchase a Korail Pass.
You can purchase from the official Korail website or directly from the travel centers below when you visit Korea.
